In total, the Byron Speech team advanced five events to the State Tournament. The following individuals with represent Byron High School in the following events this weekend in Peoria:
- Shannon McHale – Sectional Champion in Impromptu Speaking and Radio Speaking
- Tori Kuzlick – Sectional Runner-up in Humorous Interpretation
- Sadie Stickler – Sectional Runner-up in Special Occasion Speaking
- Lauryn Shank – Third Place in Original Oratory.
