2012 Inductees The Byron School District was pleased to kickoff it's 2012 school year with the announcement of its first annual Hall of Fame induction and ceremony. A school board appointed committee received and reviewed many nominations from friends, family, & community members. After deliberation and voting, the committee produced a list of 12 inductees to represent Byron High School's Inaugural event. This year's members include: Click here for Brochure e-book.
- 1938 State Champion Male Music Quartet of Earl Pierson, Merle Taylor, Dick Welty, and Donald Yost
- 1995 State Champion Wrestling Team
- 1999 State Champion Football Team
- Alex Auker - 3-time State Champion Track & Field '96 & '97 (hurdles & relay), 4-time All State Selection
- Sean Considine - 2-time All State Selection Football player & member of '99 State Championship Team
- Adam Dach - State Champion Wrestling '87. 4-Time State Qualifier, 2-Time All State Selection in Wrestling & Football
- Jenny Folz - 2-Time Track & Field State Champion (shotput) & All State Selection
- Jan Newhausen - Varsity Volleyball Coach, record of 496-155-17 (27th in IHSA
- Coaching for most wins in career), 3-Time State Qualifying Teams
- Joe Parks - Longtime Coach, Teacher, & Administrator, spanning over 2 decades, coaching Football, Basketball, Baseball, & Track
- George Piper - 1916 Track & Field State Champion (discus)
- Everett Stine - Football Coach 37 years, including a State Championship in 1999, inducted into the Illinois Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1993
- Kevin Sugden - State Champion Wrestling '85, 3- Time State Qualifier, 2-Time All State Selection
Induction into the Hall of Fame and a public reception was held in the BHS gym following the game.
