Chess Club membership is available to all middle school students. You do not need to attend every meeting to be part of Chess Club. Our next meetings are this Wednesday 2/12 and Thursday 2/13. We will meet in room 708 for 3:20-4:00 PM. Students not meeting with a teacher after school are welcome to report by 3:00 PM. The 4:00 PM is available if needed. The first dance of the year will be held THIS Friday, February 14th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Pre-sale tickets are $5.00 and will be sold today through Thursday in the morning before school down by the Cafeteria. Tickets will be $7.00 at the door the night of the dance.
Watch the movie “Inside Out 2” at the Byron Public Library next Monday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., on your day off school! No registration is necessary, just show up to enjoy a movie and treats with your friends.
Participate in the Byron Public Library's Winter Reading Challenge by reading five books and/or attending teen programs in January and February. Two winners will be chosen, each of whom will win a $50 Amazon card. Register through byron.beanstack.org or see Nancy for details.
The February 5th girls basketball games that were cancelled due to weather against Pecatonica have been rescheduled for February 27th. 7th graders play at 4:00 p.m. and 8th graders play at 5:00.
6th grade (black) will play at Pecatonica Middle School at 4:00 p.m. on February 27th.
Byron Middle School 8th grade promotion date has been announced. It will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the BYRON HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM.
