The Byron Community Unit School District would like to say thank you to Mr. Ed Clift for his years of service to the Byron School Board. Clift resigned his position as school board member effective November 23, 2018, due to moving outside of the District. He and his wife, Beth, have recently sold their home in Byron and have relocated to Winnebago, IL.
Mr. Clift was elected to his first term on the Byron School Board in 2011 and elected to his second term in 2015. He leaves the Board just 5 months shy of completing his second term. Over that time, Clift served as the chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee and Vice President of the Board. In addition to his service with the Byron Board of Education, Clift also a served with The Byron Kiwanis Club and The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.
“I would like to thank Mr. Clift for his service to the Byron School District,” stated current Byron School Board President Carol Nauman. “Through the eight years I have worked with him, he has contributed so much through his strong skills and talents. He will be greatly missed.”
The Byron Community Unit School District would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Mr. Clift for his years of service on the Byron School Board and wish him well as he moves on to the next chapter of his life.
