NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF

THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF BYRON COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL

DISTRICT NUMBER 226, OGLE COUNTY, ILLINOIS,

CONCERNING DRIVER EDUCATION FEE INCREASE

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of Byron Community Unit School District No. 226, Ogle County, Illinois, will hold a Special Meeting/Public Hearing on June 28, 2018, at 6:45 p.m.  The hearing will be held in the Board of Education Meeting Room, Byron High School, 696 N. Colfax St., Byron, Illinois 61010. 

The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public testimony from educators, parents, students, and members of the public on the Board’s proposal to increase the fee for the driver education course from one hundred-fifty dollars ($150) to two hundred dollars ($200) per student beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.  The Board’s policy on the waiver of this fee for students who are unable to pay would remain unchanged.
