Belief Statements

We believe that…..

Students and Learning

….students should be provided the best learning opportunities that the district can provide to enable them to be productive and successful members of the 21st century.

….students should not only be taught academics; but also respect, responsibility, and to be accountable for their choices.

….all students should be challenged to their full potential.

We believe that….

Faculty, Staff and Teaching

….faculty and staff should strive to educate children to the best of their ability, with the given resources, while maintaining accountability to themselves, the children, and the greater community.

….teachers should be lifelong learners and continue to educate themselves with the current teaching methods and technology.

….the district needs to hire and retain a highly qualified staff.

….teaching is more than classroom instruction and curriculum; it is also about role modeling, behaviors, etc.

….teachers should address individual learning abilities, styles, and rates of learning.

We believe that….

Schools and Community

….the community needs to provide resources and the district needs to use those resources effectively and wisely.

….a community that values education creates a strong school.

….the relationship between the school and the community needs to reflect all members in the community in an arena where information between both parties is complete, consistent, and easily accessible.

….the school and the community need to work actively together to take "Tiger Pride" from not only a school concept, but a community concept .
