Inclement Weather
When extreme or hazardous conditions exist, the decision to close school will be made between 4:30-5:30 a.m.
To provide a timely communication with parents and staff, Byron School District is utilizing an automated communication system. The SkyAlert/School Messenger system will allow district administration to automatically notify parents of school closings, emergency situations, and other critical school information via telephone and email. To receive these messages, it is important that families' contact information is kept current. Families can manage this through their Skyward Family Access accounts. If you need assistance, please contact your student's school secretary.
The district will also notify local radio and television stations if Byron Schools will be closed. Please do NOT call the schools or district office as personnel may not be in the buildings.

Extra Curricular Activities
In some cases, if school is canceled, school activities may also be cancelled for the afternoon and evening. If there are exceptions, announcements will be made via SkyAlert/School Messenger and/or posted to the 8-to-18.
Tiger Den
Services will NOT be offered on school snow days. If your child(ren) are already at AM Tiger Den, we will contact you and request that you pick up your child(ren) as soon as possible to ensure the safety of all children and staff.
